A Return to the Gym
Submitted by jocose on Tuesday 24 January 2006 @ 6:40 pmWell, for those playing along, you probably know that I have not been doing well, and I've been gaining weight. I was back up to 168, and that is just unacceptable. So, today, I started with Diet to Go again, but this time dinners only. We’ll see how it goes. Right now, I think I can handle breaksfasts and lunches, but dinners are the part that kills me.
Also, now that I am back on Diet to Go, I’m starting the gym thing again!
New Beginnings
Submitted by jocose on Monday 22 August 2005 @ 1:42 pmAs many of you know from following this blog, I have been trying to lose weight (mainly for my sisters’ weddings, but also to look fab in my bikini). I was doing Diet to Go, and with them, I went from 187.5 in February to a low of 155. Sadly, I have gained, and this morning I tipped the scale at 160.5.
I very much enjoyed my time with Diet to Go, but they kept making little mistakes on my order. All those little mistakes added up to me deciding to end my time with them. I just placed my order with a new company, NutriSystem. I’m very excited as they seem to have their act together a little more than Diet to Go, but I’m not saying that officially yet. I did notice after I placed the order, however, that I need to supplement this program with my own veggies and fruit. But, I get desserts with this one, it’s cheaper, and as I type this, I realize that actually having to buy fruits and vegetables and prepare them might actually help me ease back into the idea of making food.
Of course, I still like the idea of RC cooking for me, but I guess this will have to do.
Back at the diet
Submitted by jocose on Tuesday 14 June 2005 @ 9:33 pmSo, I'm back from vacation, and I'm fatter than when I left. I was actually down to 158½ on the 1st of June. Today, I'm sad to report, I tipped the scale at 164½.
I'm not deterred. When I think that I started at 187½, I'm still happy! AND I'm still on my diet, so I should start shedding the pounds again.
bad news on the weight front
Submitted by jocose on Sunday 05 June 2005 @ 2:29 pmHmmmm. I seem to be going the wrong way here. 4 days ago I was 158 and this morning I was 162, but it was my birthday, and I had cake and sushi. Right after vacation, I'll be back on my diet!!
Weight Goal #3
Submitted by jocose on Monday 30 May 2005 @ 9:26 pmI've reached my third goal. Today I weighed in at 159 even. 145 is getting closer and closer!
The Scale says...
Submitted by jocose on Friday 08 April 2005 @ 2:23 pmMy scale told me that today I am 169½. That means that I'm now below my second goal of 170!

Another Life Change
Submitted by jocose on Tuesday 22 February 2005 @ 9:50 pmTonight I picked up my meals from Diet to Go. It’s really friggin’ expensive…I’m paying $129.99 for 21 meals (that’s the 7 day/3 meals per day plan).
I have argued for a long time now that one of the leading contributors to my weight problem is that I don’t have time or energy to shop, cook, and clean up afterwards. That is where Diet to Go enters. They do all of that for me, and all I have to do is pick up my meals on Tuesdays and Fridays. After that, all I have to do is stick them in the microwave.
I had a pork chop tonight for dinner. It was pretty good, and the rest of the food looks pretty yummy. The only problems are 1) they are raising the rates next week and 2) the meals say DIET TO GO right on them, so it will be a little embarrassing to take them to work…but for $129.99, I’m not wasting any.
I’m 187.5 today, so we will see if this really works. I chose the low-carb plan because you are supposed to lose the most weight on that plan; of course, it is also the most expensive.
